2019 Summer Baseball
2019 Summer Baseball
For the 2019 summer, we will be offering an extensive training opportunity for all incoming 9th graders and returning Sentinel baseball players. This two month program will introduce new players to the ins and outs of the high school program, offer them the attention they need to improve their skills, and provide training needed to make the high school team in the Spring. Coached by the Spanaway Lake High School coaching staff, your player will be able to make an early impression and learn what it means to be a Sentinel Baseball player.
The team will practice and play all home games at Spanaway Lake High School. Transportation to games off site will need to be provided by the players and families.
This is not a typical summer team that goes to multiple tournaments or plays every game to win. This is an instructional program. We play seven-inning games, where all innings are six batters or less (three outs or six batters), coaches can instruct during games, players play multiple positions and there are multiple substitutions. There is more of a focus on learning and improving than there is on winning and losing.
The team will have 12-15 practices and then 10-15 games and an end of the year tournament held at Spanaway Lake High School.
Cost
Player fees will be $150.
Fundraising
There will be team fundraising events if needed.
All players will also be able to handle their own, individual fundraising to cover player fees.
See schedule for practice times and dates.
Our program is dedicated to supporting any and all players who have the desire to be successful at the game of baseball. There will be many opportunities to raise funds to cover players fees and the Spanaway Lake Monsters Baseball Club Board of Directors is committed to supporting each player's needs. It is our utmost priority to offer a fun and challenging summer of baseball for any and all interested players.
